Islamic Jihad terrorist spokesman Abu Ahmad emphatically denied on Wednesday a report in an Israeli Hebrew daily that his group is on the verge of agreeing to stop launching Kassam rocket attacks against Israel.

"What was published in the Israeli media is absolutely incorrect," he said. The Haaretz newspaper reported Wednesday that Islamic Jihad and Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas were about to reach an agreement for a three-week halt in rocket attacks.
