A report released Sunday said that many Kassam rockets have fallen on the farm owned by the family of former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. The houses on the farm lay 6.9 kilometers from Palestinian Authority-controlled Gaza, while the rest of the farm stretches to 6.2 kilometers from Gaza. Many of the rockets have fallen in the area where Sharon’s wife Lily is buried.
The government will decide Sunday morning whether or not to grant the farm tax benefits that are given to other towns within seven kilometers of Gaza. While still Prime Minister, Sharon asked that his farm be exempt from the benefits, in order to avoid the appearance of impropriety.
