Netanyahu: Stand Alone And Tell Them To Go To Hell!
Netanyahu: Stand Alone And Tell Them To Go To Hell!

For a long time, the world complained about Israel’s harsh vow to protect themselves from Iran’s building of nuclear arms. Israel - so far - hasn’t yet acted in a defensive strike, yet the Iranian enemy remains at Israel’s doorstep devoted to her destruction.

And on Sunday, The New York Times ran a profile filled with venom for Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  Calling him a "shrill" voice on a one-man "messianic crusade" against Iran's nuclear weapons program and saying he is “taking a lonely stance”, indeed may actually prove he is the one sane man in a world filled with delusional fools.  More likely,  it may mean that, like so many times in the past, the Jewish people stands alone in times of danger.

Worldwide, anyone concerned with the safety of the West should hope Netanyahu and Israel remain on their crusade to stop Iran from reaching nuclear capacity. With a fool in the White House, it is even more vital.

The New York Times profile states “His office wall is dominated by a map, Iran looming large at the center. Iran has been Mr. Netanyahu’s priority — many say obsession — since 1996.”

A country on Israel’s border who openly declares its intent to destroy the Jewish state is definitely worthy of obsession for that nation's leaders. Sane people respect and envy those who defend and protect their people.

The fact that Netanyahu has held off, so far, from striking Iran should earn him praise from liberals – but, of course, since he is Prime Minister of Israel, that didn’t happen.

The Jewish Prime Minister has not forgotten that Israel as a nation is a modern miracle. After six million Jews were murdered while the world stood by and watched, a nation was created, but has been surrounded by enemies who have tried to destroy her from the very beginning of her existence. They have failed, time and time again.

Hateful rhetoric in The Times says that in Netanyahu’s recent attempts to focus the world on the Iranian nuclear program, "using ancient texts, Holocaust history and a 2011 book by Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani," he "risks seeming frozen in the past amid a shifting geopolitical landscape."

Frozen? Because of a phone call between a President who can’t even get his government to function for the last two weeks and an Iranian wolf in sheep’s clothing?

And referring to the Bible as "ancient texts" is typical for the paper's disregard for the Jewish people.

After Sunday, the words for The New York Times from anyone concerned about the safety of the West should be clear – in the eloquent, pointed words of Ze’ev Jabotinsky, the prescient Zionist prophet. In 1911, he wrote a piece entitled “Go to Hell!” which, it seems,  will always be relevant for opponents of our people:

“Instead of excessive apology and instead of turning our backs to the accusers – as there is nothing to apologize for, and nobody to apologize to – it is long overdue to respond to all current and future accusations, reproaches, suspicions, slanders and denunciations by simply folding our arms and loudly, clearly, coldly and calmly answer,'Go to Hell!'

"Who are we, to make excuses to them; who are they to interrogate us? What is the purpose of this mock trial over the entire people where the sentence is known in advance? Our habit of constantly and zealously answering to any rabble has already done us a lot of harm and will do much more. The situation that has been created as a result, tragically confirms a well known saying: 'Qui s’excuse s’accuse' (He who apologizes condemns himself).

"We ourselves have acquainted our neighbors with the thought that for every embezzling Jew, it is possible to drag the entire ancient people to answer, a people that was We are hated not because we are blamed for everything, but we are blamed for everything because we are not loved. We do not have to apologize for anything.
legislating at a time when their neighbors had not even invented a bast shoe. Every accusation causes such commotion among us that people unwittingly think, 'Why are they so afraid of everything?’ Apparently their conscience is not clear. Exactly because we are ready at every minute to stand at attention, there develops among the people an inescapable view about us, as of some specifically thievish tribe.

"We think that our constant readiness to undergo a search without hesitation and to turn out our pockets will eventually convince mankind of our nobility; look what gentlemen we are–we do not have anything to hide! This is a terrible mistake. The real gentlemen are the people that will not allow anyone for any reason to search their apartments, their pockets or their souls. Only a person under surveillance is ready for a search at every moment. This is the only inevitable conclusion from our maniacal reaction to every reproach, to accept responsibility as a people for every action of a Jew, and to make excuses in front of everybody.

"I consider this system to be false at its very root. We are hated not because we are blamed for everything, but we are blamed for everything because we are not loved.  We do not have to apologize for anything. We are a people as all other peoples; we do not have any intentions to be better than the rest. We do not have to account to anybody; we are not to sit for anybody’s examination and nobody is old enough to call on us to answer. We came before them.  We are what we are, we are good for ourselves, we will not change and we do not want to."

As I read this in awe of the heroic Zionist leader's prescience, there isn’t anything more which I need to add - In fact, it bears repeating: “We are hated not because we are blamed for everything, but we are blamed for everything because we are not loved.  We do not have to apologize for anything.”

P.S.: The "all the news that's fit to print" paper actually wrote that "either Netanyahu 'shuns guests for Sabbath meals'" and "Friday night dinners are reserved for Sara and their two sons, Yair and Avner.”  Could one imagine the NYT ever criticizing any other world leader who is running a country for having a meal alone at home with his family once a week? Does the NYT remember Obama leaving that same Prime Minister to cool his heels in a waiting room while the US president had dinner with his own family?
