KKL-JNF has produced this stamp to commemorate 120 years since the passing of Theodor Herzl, the visionary founder of the State of Israel. This is the first KKL-JNF stamp to involve AI technologies in its production process. The goal is to mirror KKL-JNF's ongoing growth and renewal efforts in Israel with the innovation and advancements in the technological world.
The stamp portrays Herzl's likeness against the backdrop of Israel's landscapes—fields, trees, and water reservoirs—with a gaze reflecting a man who has seen his vision come to fruition.
Since 1902, KKL-JNF has issued over 5,200 stamps covering various themes. Through these stamps, KKL-JNF commemorates the nation's great figures and special moments in history. KKL-JNF stamps have always been used to promote and instill values of Zionism, heritage, nature, and environmental quality. Stamp collectors worldwide collect KKL-JNF stamps, and some are even used on school certificates.
Ifat Ovadia-Luski, Chairwoman of KKL-JNF, said: "Herzl's image embodies the values I strive to uphold in all our extensive activities at KKL-JNF. It was only natural to dedicate this stamp to him. I am proud to support this innovative project. Just as Herzl's vision has been revitalized through technology, I aim every day to bring renewal to every possible corner and to encourage the growth of forests and natural sites that will enrich the State of Israel."
