Following the sirens that sounded in Kerem Shalom throughout the day on Wednesday, numerous launches were identified from the area of Rafah toward the Kerem Shalom Crossing.

The launches did not cross into Israeli territory and fell in the Gaza Strip.

In addition, following the sirens that sounded earlier in the day in the area of Shlomit, eight launches were identified crossing from the area of Rafah into the area of Kerem Shalom.

As a result of the launches, an IDF soldier was lightly injured. The soldier received initial medical treatment at the scene.

"The Hamas terrorist organization continues to deliberately endanger Gazan civilians and carry out terror attacks from within civilian areas to attempt to attack Israeli civilians and IDF troops. Moreover, the terrorist organization continues to fire launches from populated zones in the area of Rafah toward the Kerem Shalom Crossing to attack IDF troops, as well as the functioning of the crossing," the IDF stated.
