Two people died this morning (Sunday) in a fire that broke out on the second floor of a residential building on Lipkin-Shahak Street in Jerusalem.

Magen David Adom (MDA) medics and paramedics who were called to the scene had to determine the death of the two victims at the scene.

Seven other people were injured in the fire, two seriously, three moderately, and two lightly. All of the injured suffer from burns and smoke inhalation.

The first response teams evacuated the injured to Shaare Zedek, Hadassah Ein Kerem, and Hadassah Mount Scopus hospitals in the capital.
