Readers of all kinds have been captivated by the story of Chani Zahav, a charming five-year-old Israeli girl who, much to her parents’ horror, was recently given a dreaded diagnosis – leukemia. This would be a lot for any family to handle, but for the Zahavs, it’s catastrophic: This is Chani’s second ordeal with leukemia.
Coming from a family with humble means, Chani’s parents have been working relentlessly to gather the funds needed to provide their beloved little girl with lifesaving medical care.

“We are running out of time to save Chani’s life…We are in the hospital literally every day. We were already financially drowning before Chani’s leukemia was found. Now we don’t know what to do,” wrote Mrs. Zahav on an emergency campaign page.
“Please, dear Jewish community, have compassion on my child! Her life means everything to us. She is only 5 years old and she wants to live! We implore you to open your hearts and please help us save her!”
