Thousands of protesters gathered last night in the main square in front of the Toronto City Hall, demonstrating against Israel and supporting Hamas.
The demonstrators accused Israel of committing war crimes and genocide and called for an immediate ceasefire.
One of the demonstrators tied an Israeli flag around his ankle and dragged the flag along the road. Later a dog grabbed the flag in his mouth as he continued to drag it with his foot. The protester enflamed the crowd with chants of support for the Palestinians as he continued to desecrate the Israeli flag.
This is not the first time that the Israeli flag has been desecrated in a demonstration by pro-Palestinian activists in the city.
A few months ago, a demonstration was held in front of the Jewish community building in Toronto, at the end of which the demonstrators tore up and burned the Israeli flag.
