Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has called the IDF's operation against Hamas in Gaza a "reckless, aggressive war" and a "war of destruction," as well as a "war against the Palestinian existence and the Palestinian national identity, the land's identity, and a person's identity."
According to him, the war against Hamas is a battle which is one link in a "chain of aggression that has lasted for more than one hundred years."
In this context, Abbas said, "May there be a curse upon the occupation, upon those who stand behind it, or those who silence the crimes of the war."
He also warned against any attempt to resettle the "Palestinian nation" away "from its land."
"The Satanic plans have not disappeared from us," he emphasized, adding that the "Palestinians" will not agree to an alternative country, and "if there is someone who must be removed from our land, it is the occupation, and only the occupation."
According to Abbas, the Palestinian Authority has succeeded in enlisting the entire world to foil the "occupation's plans" to evict all of the residents of Gaza, Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem.
"This is the religious, humanitarian, and nationalist obligation, even before it is a diplomatic way of acting," he explained.
"The Gaza Strip will always be an integral part of the State of Palestine's land," he said, adding that the Palestinian Authority is the one which should be responsible for it. "We have one national flag. One State of Palestine. One political future. This is our decision, and this is our path."
