The Qatari-based Al Jazeera network cut off an interview with a resident of Gaza when the resident began blaming the Hamas terrorist organization for hiding in and underneath hospitals.
"What is happening is a crime!" said the man. "Why is the resistance (Hamas) hiding among us? Why don't they go to hell and hide there? They are not the resistance."
The interviewer quickly cut the man off and began walking away as soon as he started to criticize Hamas.
IDF ground troops are currently carrying out a precise and targeted operation against Hamas in a specified area in the al-Shifa Hospital, where Hamas has placed its command center. The activity in this specified area is based on operational necessities, as well as intelligence information that indicates Hamas terrorist activity is being directed from the area.
Before entering the hospital, IDF forces encountered explosives and terrorist squads and a fight ensued in which multiple terrorists were eliminated. At least five terrorists were killed. In addition, weapons were found in the hospital.
White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby told reporters yesterday (Tuesday) that America has independent intelligence showing that the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations have been using al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza to conduct their military operations, confirming for the first time Israel's arguments about the use of hospitals as human shields and for military operations.
On Monday, IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari delivered an address to the media on the discovery of terrorist infrastructure in and underneath Rantisi Children's Hospital.
Hagari showed footage proving that Hamas "runs its terror machine under hospitals in Gaza" by showing a tunnel at the hospital as well as Hamas infrastructure in the hospital's basement. In addition, a motorcycle of the kind used to bring kidnapped Israeli hostages to Gaza was found in the base, along with further signs that hostages were held there such as a baby bottle, ropes used to hold people in place, and an improvised toilet.
Hamas has used multiple hospitals in Gaza for military purposes. Terrorists fired at IDF troops from within the Al Aqsa hospital, and the terror organization has a command center under the al-Shifa hospital.
