Anti-Israel journalist Aaron Mate was on a train in Philadelphia when he ran into Democratic Party Senator Chris Coons. He began to ask the Senator why he was not calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Mate is considered to be a friendly journalist for Russia, Syria, and China, and is one of the most active deniers of the massacre of Uyghurs in China. Additionally, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue in Britain has determined that he is the one who has disseminated the most disinformation regarding the war in Syria, including denying the use of chemical weapons.

The Senator, who noticed that he was being filmed, told Mate who he was and added: “This is a quiet car and you’re not supposed to be talking to me.”

“Children are dying. US weapons are killing kids in Gaza,” Mate continued. Coons replied: “Nice to meet you, Aaron. Please stop talking to me.” Coons then turns to an Amtrak employee for help.

“I’m not going to call for a ceasefire. I strongly support humanitarian pauses. I’ve urged the Israeli government to target their campaign against Hamas,” he told Mate.

Mate continued to press the Senator on the issue, until Coons warned him “Aaron, please stop or I’m gonna have you thrown off this train.”

Mate wrote what happened next on X: “After questioning Sen. Coons about his support for Israeli massacres in Gaza, I was asked to move to a different seat. I complied. About 30 mins later, he walked by me. We did not exchange words. At the next stop, in Philadelphia, I was removed from the train. I assume this was done at Sen. Coons’ behest,” he wrote.
