IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced on Sunday that Israel intends not only to take down Hamas but also to reach all of the organization's leaders.
"We will chase Yahya Sinwar until we catch him. The population of Gaza already says how Sinwar brought a tragedy on them; he is personally responsible for the collapse of Gaza; he thinks and works like a murderer who proved to the entire world that Hamas is worse than ISIS," Hagari stated.
He summed up today's IDF operations in Gaza and said, "The ground, air, and naval forces operated in Gaza and eliminated, among others, commanders of Hamas's tactical rank. Along with the ground activities, we are continuing massive airstrikes. We are holding situational assessments and are preparing to expand our activities gradually to reach the goal of war. We will do everything from the sea, the air, and the ground to ensure our forces' safety."
Hagari noted that until now, messages were delivered to the families of 239 hostages and that the number of missing persons has shrunk to 40. "We will not rest until we know what happened to your loved ones," he emphasized.
