Jason Greenblatt, the former Middle East envoy under the Trump Administration, criticized US President Joe Biden for already talking about the Two State Solution and calling for the creation of a Palestinian Arab state, less than three weeks after Hamas massacred over 1,400 Israelis in the worst mass-killing of Jews since the Holocaust.

"Sheesh! I am not sure which words to use to describe this approach .... naive? tone-deaf? ignorant? simple-minded? insensitive? ridiculous? I can go on and on...." Greenblatt wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

"There are SO many reasons why now is not the time to even begin to discuss this. I have been complimentary of the Biden Administration's approach since the October 7th massacre & atrocities committed by Palestinian terrorists against Israelis. And now I will be critical. This is an absurd message to come from the Biden Administration at this time. It's time for @POTUS to read my book - In the Path of Abraham - in which I explain why," he added.

On Wednesday, Biden called on world leaders to make a “concentrated effort” toward the realization of a Two State Solution in the day after the current war between Israel and Hamas.

"Israelis and Palestinians equally deserve to live side by side, in safety, dignity, and peace. There's no going back to the status quo as it stood on October 6th. That means ensuring Hamas can no longer terrorize Israel and Palestinian civilians as human shields. It also means that when this crisis is over, there has to be a vision of what comes next, and in our view, it has to be a Two State Solution. It means a concentrated effort from all the parties, Israelis, Palestinians, regional partners, global leaders, to put us on a path toward peace," Biden said.
