US President Joe Biden on Wednesday morning arrived in Israel for a solidarity visit.
Greeting him were Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
"Welcome Mr. President," Herzog said, greeting the US leader. "God bless you for protecting the nation of Israel."
Biden and Netanyahu then embraced.
During the visit, the US President is expected to participate in a meeting of the war cabinet, and meet with the families of the Israeli hostages.
Biden is also expected to meet "Rachel from Ofakim," who made headlines after she survived 20 hours with Hamas terrorists in her home, by giving them cookies.
