Firefighting teams worked for three hours on Monday afternoon to gain control of a fire which broke out near Kibbutz Tzova in the Jerusalem hills.
Police officers called to the scene blocked the roads to the area. Thus far, no casualties have been reported.
At the same time, firefighters worked to gain control of the flames in Ein Rafa, continuing efforts to completely extinguish the flames near Kibbutz Tzova. The first line of homes in the kibbutz was evacuated, along with factories, chicken coops, and the Kiftzuba amusement park.
A command center was opened to manage the fire, and includes representatives from police, firefighters, and medical bodies, as well as others.
The roads leading to the Tzova area remained closed to traffic until evening.
