MK Tally Gotliv (Likud) on Monday blasted Justice Minister Yariv Levin on her Twitter account, following reports about a shouting match between the two.

According to journalist Yaara Zered, Minister Levin was heard scolding MK Gotliv during debates in the Knesset when he called on her to support MK Ahmed Tibi (Ta’al) for the position of Deputy Knesset Speaker. "We need him and he will be elected," Levin reportedly told Gotliv.

In response, Gotliv wrote on her Twitter account, "For half a year I have been preventing a vote for Ahmed Tibi, who praises shaheeds, for the position of Deputy Knesset Speaker."

Gotliv also wrote that "I was shocked to discover that the coalition is going to vote for a person who calls IDF soldiers ‘murderers’. Levin's reaction, yelling at me because I insisted that [Tibi] should not be voted for, is a disgrace to a right-wing government. It's a good thing that there are no more sanctions to impose on me."

Over the past few months, Gotliv has refused to support Tibi's candidacy. Her remarks about sanctions are a reference to sanctions imposed on her by the Likud after she defied coalition discipline and refused to withdraw her candidacy for the Judicial Selection Committee.
