Police and Civil Administration forces raided this morning (Thursday) a Jewish agricultural farm that was established near the settlement of Neve Erez after the terrorist shooting attack near Eli last week in which four civilians were murdered.
The forces destroyed the buildings and the goat pen at the farm. In addition, they confiscated all the equipment in the place, including tanks of drinking water and other equipment that belonged to Harel Masoud, one of the victims of the Eli shooting attack.
The outpost was established by friends of Maroud and Nachman Shmuel Mordoff, a 15-year-old boy who was also murdered in the shooting. Maroud had planned to move to the area with his flock of sheep.
Earlier today, Civil Administration inspectors cleared another agricultural farm that was established near the settlement of Mevo'ot Yericho in memory of Maroud and Mordoff following the attack.
MK Limor Son Har-Melech (Otzma Yehudit) said in response to the confiscations: "To confiscate the personal belongings of a murdered person while conducting a campaign of brutal destruction against the memorial established to him is a new low to which [Defense] Minister Gallant reached this morning. Gallant directs the determination and action that have been missing for a long time in the war against Arab terror against the settlers. I'm sorry to say it, but Gallant's tenure as defense minister is an indelible stain on the right-wing government."
Shoval Ben Shoshan, a friend of both Maroud and Mordoff, asked: "How are the government's hands not trembling? The blood of the friends we buried hasn't even dried, but the Israeli government is already sending its forces to destroy the memorial to them. The settlement that Harel planned to establish in his lifetime with the flock of sheep, is being destroyed now after his death."
"This government has failed miserably in providing personal security to its citizens and is now adding sin to crime and harassing the settlements with unprecedented cruelty - while the houses of the terrorists are still standing. We were promised a right-wing government, but we got a government of destruction, ruin, and terror," Ben Shoshan said.
