The IDF eliminated three senior commanders of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip last night (Tuesday), including Jihad Ghannam, who was responsible for a deadly terrorist attack that left five Israeli civilians in the Gaza Strip dead in 2004.

The attack occurred on the afternoon of May 2nd, 2004, while the Sharon government was drafting plans to evacuate all Jewish towns in the Gaza Strip.

The terrorists, linked with the Islamic Jihad and Popular Resistance Committee groups, opened fire on the Hatuel family's car, murdering Tali Hatuel, who was eight months pregnant, and her four daughters: Hila, Hadar, Roni, and Merav.

David Hatuel, whose wife and daughters were killed in the attack, said that Ghannam's elimination sent "a clear message to the murderers that Israel will always reach those who harm us. As long as they harm us, they will not have a safe place on earth."

"I thank God and the security forces on behalf of myself and the entire family for the killing of the person who was responsible for planning the murderous attack on my wife Tali and our four daughters, Hila, Hadar, Roni, and Merav, exactly 19 years ago," Hatuel added. "We act from eternal values and not from revenge."
