One person was shot and killed in northern Israel Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting occurred on Route 73, at a gas station near the entrance to Kibbutz Yifat.
Emergency first responders from MDA and United Hatzalah were dispatched to the scene to treat the victim, a man roughly 40 years of age. Shortly after their arrival, however, the victim was declared dead at the scene.
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting.
Authorities currently suspect that the shooting was most likely criminal, rather than nationalistically-motivated.
The incident comes just hours after an Arab terrorist opened fire on an Israeli car in eastern Jerusalem, wounding two Breslov Hasidim.
