“Dear Dr. Portnoy, Thank you for writing to me about the conflict in the Middle East.”

“I believe that both Palestinians and Israelis deserve to live safely and securely, enjoying equal measures of freedom, prosperity, and democracy. To that end, my Administration will continue our relentless diplomacy with an aim of working toward peace.”

“I want to be clear—the United States is committed to Israel’s security and fully supports Israel’s right to defend itself against indiscriminate attacks from Hamas and other Gaza-based terrorist groups, which have taken the lives of innocent civilians in Israel. At the same time, my Administration also remains committed to working with the United Nations and other international stakeholders to provide humanitarian assistance and support for the Palestinian people.”

“I send my sincere condolences to all the families—Israeli and Palestinian—who have lost loved ones throughout the recent conflict. No family should have to fear for their safety within their own home or place of worship. I think most about the children in these societies who face trauma from a conflict far beyond their control”.

“We have a genuine opportunity to make progress. I am committed to working toward a two-state solution, and I pray that there will be peace.”

“Sincerely,"

My response:

President Biden,

Unfortunately, for the past 2 + years, the myriad of my published opinion pieces seem to focus on your administration’s questionable Middle East choices. This includes repetitive wooing of Iran, a nation that has done nothing but prove itself to be an enemy of our American way of life and your ever present financial enablement of the Palestinian Authority and its disquieting activities concerning its neighbor Israel and Israel’s Jewish population.

It’s no secret that Iran remains intent on fulfilling its promise of eliminating America’s only reliable Middle East ally, Israel, while doubling as a sinister destabilizing agent in the area through its proxies Hamas and Hezbollah, and satellite missions in Iraq, Syria and even Samaria. Yet, any potential threat to America, seems hidden.

Strangely, the free ride to the violence perpetrated on an almost daily basis by the Palestinian Authority towards Israeli residents and unfortunate visitors seems minimized in importance or even excused.

This being particularly ghastly within the context of the “Pay to Slay'' operation indirectly funded courtesy of unconditioned American Tax dollars.

This obscenity was outlawed by the U.S. Congress through the “Taylor Force Act.” This mandated the stopping of American financial aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) and its subgroups, until they cease awarding stipends to Palestinian Arab residents, who in the course of committing acts of targeted terror, murder, and property damage were either killed, maimed or incarcerated.

Even the families of these neutralized agents became eligible to receive potentially long term subsidies, as well. All of this only serving to further anti-Israel violence; ultimately collapsing your so-called “2 State” Middle East paradigm.

The purpose of the “Taylor Force Act” appears constructively ignored by your administration, and Abbas and his P.A. appear to suffer no visible consequences. That said, he never ceases to ask for and receive hundreds of millions of, yes you guessed it, additional unconditioned U.S. tax dollars. This disconnect merits oversight by the very U.S. Legislators who mandated “Taylor Force.” It’s like a smack in the face to see injustices quietly subsidized

U.S. tax dollars also, seems to benefit UNRWA’s Palestinian refugee children’s educational curriculum; the contents of which allegedly foment generational violence towards Israel and by extension against Jews, via its hate promoting educational content. This may be appearing within America, through Palestinian immigration programs.

Your concerns about the effects of hostile environments influencing young Palestinian Arabs likely includes suspected exploitation via being groomed for martyrdom training, while glorifying the sadistic pursuit of elimination of Israel and Jews. This in the course of eventually replacing them with Palestinian Arab populations is a scandal that if tied to a lack of appropriate American intervention may well leave an indelible stain on your legacy.

If such child exploitation in the commission of a crime were to occur within the confines of America, it could result in criminal felony charges within our Jurisprudence.

Eventually, the amalgam of escalating hate alluded to above, might also prove fodder for a Justice Department review considering unconditioned U.S. tax dollars tied to violence, polarization and destabilization in a already fragile environment.

Lastly, do not permit America to shrug off the welfare of the sole Jewish State on the planet. At the end of the day, as Israel goes, so may follow America.
