IDF forces operating on search and rescue missions in Turkey following the pair of devastating earthquakes in the country earlier this week which killed more than 10,000 people rescued a two-year-old baby from a collapsed building.
Cpt. Alon Hominer, one of the soldiers sent to Turkey to assist in the search and rescue operations, said: “We received a report from the Turkish authorities that there were sounds of a baby crying, and we joined in the efforts.”
He added that the operation to free the baby took several hours and that the child was taken to the hospital in good condition.
