After all the Bibi bashing, look who’s on top

For the Left in the United States, they will always have Trump. In Israel, they will always have Netanyahu…to kick around.

In fact, whatever you say about Trump, the same goes for Netanyahu, except that Bibi got to the finish line first.

We explained why in this column…” What tipped the scales for Netanyahu?” Answer: “Israelis voted to win back their country and the sanctity of their Jewish heritage.”

For many, the result was news to cheer.

However, If you’re ever having a good day, to ruin it all, watch the evening news on either NBC, CBS, or ABC, to catch up on What Did Trump Do Today To Upset Them So Much.

Ditto for Netanyahu in Israel…who remains the main target of the Left especially after he’s given them a thrashing, and wound up on top.

This they will not forget or forgive.

With them, it is always something, though lately, around here, it has been the same thing, Jan 6.

Nothing new there, but they will always find a twist to smack Trump around one more time.

But how many times can you hook the same fish?

People who’ve been in the news business for some time develop a nose for which headlines stay fresh, and a knack for which news gets stale.

As it is, the animosities have boomeranged, and the media are stuck with overkill. Will they learn from this? Surely not.

Thus the question…have the Leftists used up all their marbles…lost their mojo… lost their wallop…to the point where nothing they say means anything anymore?

It would seem so in Israel where the Leftists control the media and the legal system, and ganged up on Netanyahu using all their tools, and so huffing and puffing they tried to bring him down, but failed, and failed, why? One reason: “The Israelis saw with alarm their Land, their Good Earth, being corrupted.

“Leaders that they never voted for were making plans to undo Israel’s Jewish sanctity.”

So the Israelis turned Right, their actual default position, and true enough that, but they also told the Leftists, enough with your sanctimony, your sourpuss kvetching.

The story, then, is as much a triumph of the Right, as it is a defeat of the Left.

The Left, it would surely seem, had played its “Never Bibi” hand once too often, so that the people grew weary and said…

“Bibi’s desire for better coverage. That’s it? That’s your scandal? What else you got? Oh cigars.”

The population tuned out. Call it a numbing effect.

The Left’s one-trick-pony message had grown dull…and this is where we are in the United States as well.

Whatever they say, does it mean anything anymore?

Case in point…like the “scandal” over Netanyahu’s cigars over there, so too over here, Trump’s taxes, a scandal which also never materialized.

The House, then under Democrat control, released the data, only days ago, which showed that, over the past few years, Trump paid hardly any taxes at all. However you feel about this, or about Trump…Trump deniers will always think the worst…even if Trump may have a legitimate case…fact is, this should have been a big story.

Yes, stop the presses.

They’d been begging for ways to finally get Trump…hang Trump…bury Trump…and here it was, on a platter.

Taxes…that is how they get you, and how they got Al Capone.

Hence, Trump was ripe for a shellacking across the dials, from one news cycle onto another, as it was, day and night, during the Russia frame-up.

Strangely, not this time.

On ABC, the network, through David Muir, that never misses a chance to praise Biden but malign Trump, the story wasn’t even the top item.

The piece ran somewhere in the middle as ho-hum, as if Muir and the editors figured they’d used it all up on the guy, nothing more to give, and so it was across the dials.

The New York Times gave it about a day and a half…no more than that over embarrassment that over the years they’d laid it on too thick.

To their chagrin, he’d begun earning sympathy points.

Netanyahu wearied them down the same way, until their storms of discontent against him turned into no flood, but a puddle.
