MK Ayman Odeh (Joint List) said on Wednesday that the Joint List’s slate will have new faces and the goal is to win eight seats in the Knesset in the upcoming elections.

Speaking to the Arab-Israeli channel Hala TV, Odeh estimated that the unified slate of the Blue and White and New Hope parties will further reduce the possibility that Benjamin Netanyahu will form the next government.

Odeh did not outright rule out the possibility of the Joint List supporting a coalition led by Benny Gantz despite not officially being a part of it, saying that "any idea regarding outside support (in the next government) must depend on the policies of the ruling coalition."

In this context, he added, "If there is a government like the Rabin government, which marches towards peace and equality, then that is what we want."

Commenting on US President Biden's visit to Israel, Odeh said that "nothing will be achieved except through resistance, and the first intifada, for example, resulted in many achievements."
