Only Megyn Kelly, Only Fox Delivers The News
Rupert Murdoch or Rogers Ailes ought to pay me for this because this is going to sound like an infomercial. I don’t know them and they don’t know me but it must be said that in terms of broadcasting, America has only one TV channel, and that is Fox News. The rest of them, all the other networks combined, are a joke.
They’re in cahoots with the left. They are in the bag for Obama. From them you will learn nothing and if you have been watching them you know nothing.
They contrive. They distort. They manipulate to keep America in the dark.
Megyn Kelly lights up a screen like nobody else. Her savvy, her passion is something to behold.
While the rest of the lame-duck media were equivocating or downright justifying the latest massacres in Jerusalem, Megyn topped off her 9 p.m. program with the story and she stooped to no such nonsense. She bothered nothing with subtleties and nuances.
The good news is that we have Fox. The bad news is that we only have Fox.She anguished and grieved for the victims. She scorned the murderers. She saw them clearly as savages. She was appalled by the images of Arabs dancing in festive approval over the massacre of the four Har Nof rabbis. Her features revealed her dismay and disgust. “Look at them,” she kept saying. “Look at them doing a dance for the cameras. Just look at those faces.”
Turning to her guest Israeli Ambassador to the United States Ron Dermer, she asked, “How can there ever be a negotiation with these people?”
Who else but Megyn and where else but Fox? During the Gaza War, who besides Sean Hannity went to Israel with love against the tide of universal media bias?
What a sad day in America. There is no other place to turn to for broadcast news in this great big fat beautiful country. There is no other place to go for accuracy, clarity, honesty. There is Fox News and nobody else. When Journalism fails, tyranny succeeds. (See this.)
The results are in as we behold a runaway president. In today’s big speech where he outlined a measure many consider to be an abuse of power, he announced that if you like illegal immigration you can keep illegal immigration (if not in these exact words).
As the rest of them hid the facts and buried the truth, only Fox pursued Obama and his administration from scandal to scandal.
Jonathan Gruber. Does this name mean anything to you? Of course not if you’ve been watching CBS, NBC, ABC, NPR, CCN or MSNBC. But this Gruber has come out in the open as an architect of Obamacare, the president’s supreme if dubious achievement -- a law that Gruber admits was passed by deceiving American voters on the belief that we are “stupid.”
This is a big story. This casts doubt on the law and upon the trustworthiness of Obama and his government. But only Fox carried it and if others came along it was to save themselves from being totally useless. They will hop on a Fox scoop when the truth becomes unbearable, but somehow wash it and twist it to favor Obama.
The good news is that we have Fox. The bad news is that we only have Fox. The Baltimore Sun’s David Zurawik has the figures to show that “more Americans get their TV news from Fox than anywhere else.” Fox dominates them all and its ratings are growing.
Only on Fox and from the doggedness of Greta Van Susteren do we know about Andrew Tahmooressi. This United States Marine was unfairly detained and also tortured in Mexican prisons for some eight months without a phone call from our president to their president to do what’s right. Greta wouldn’t let go. She kept after the injustice night after night until she and her army of gritty and dedicated viewers won the Marine’s release.
Fox appears to win every time slot, from morning to night. Ailes seems to have a touch of gold. His blondes have more fun and more smarts.
There is room to quibble. Fox’s coverage of Israel could use someone else besides a kid named Conor Powell. He is a kid and he knows nothing.
The Five is a bright and lively program. The panelists are fast and likeable. But Bob Beckel, who disdains Charles Krauthammer because Krauthammer is everything he isn’t, brings it down with his boorishness and makes it nearly unwatchable. A shallow man like Beckel, always in the tank for the left, ought to kiss every paycheck he gets from Roger Ailes.
But obviously Ailes knows what he’s doing. Without him we’d be totally in what the FCC’s Newton Minow saw for TV – a “vast wasteland.”
