The chairman of a United Nations meeting in Africa on Arab "Palestinian" rights condemned homicide bombings.
"We reject suicide attacks against civilians. Nothing could justify such murderous acts, no matter what the activity," said Paul Badji, chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, which met in Cape Town.
South African President Thabo Mbeki called for a program of action from the conference and said it is not true that "to support Palestine is to make a statement that is hostile to Israel." He also said no solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would be found without the participation of Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat.
Israel was not at the conference, but was subjected to a barrage of criticism for alleged human rights abuses. The conference also endorsed a two-state solution to the conflict.
First and foremost, one should expose that the label, name, moniker "Palestinian" belongs first and foremost to the Children of Israel, Hebrews, Israelites or Jews. The label is being used to legitimize a false claim to the land known as "Holy Land" or "Promised Land", which includes all of the land of the modern state of Israel, including Gaza, Judea and Samaria.
These disputed territories were never ever called "occupied territories" or "West Bank" prior to 1948, when they became conquered and "occupied" for nineteen years by Egypt and Jordan in an aggressive attack with the intent of annihilating Israel.
Legally, the territories in question belong to Israel, which re-conquered its territories when the Arab nations all attacked again during the June 1967 "Six Day War". Israel mightily defeated the Arab aggressors in that war.
Secondly, let's call a spade a spade. The terrorist bombers are not individuals merely trying to commit suicide, but are trying to commit ethnic genocide, bent on committing as much mass murder and mayhem as they can carry out without world condemnation or punishment.
Thirdly, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict should be accurately called the Arab-Israeli conflict. The Arab League continues to wage war by successfully utilizing a created Arab "Palestinian" nation and Arab "Palestinian" people in a political propaganda ploy. It is a contrived David vs. Goliath scenario, in which oppressed, poor "Palestinians" must cast stones against the mighty, powerful military of the IDF. It makes for great media imagery, however deceitful and misleading. There are 22 Arab/Islamic nations in the Middle East neighborhood bent on annihilating the only tiny, little Jewish one. These corrupt dictatorships and ruthless, repressive regimes use this convenient conflict to divert attention away from their own human rights abuses, and lack of democracy and freedom; to direct attention to the only one in the neighborhood who exhibits morality.
What these evil, fanatical, fundamentalist Arab/Islamist nations failed to do from the outside in their aggressive attacks in the 1948 War of Independence, the 1967 Six Day War and the 1973 Yom Kippur War, they now try to achieve through an artificial nation and people, acting as an internal cancer.
There can never, ever be any peace as long as Arafat retains any power. Arafat is the PA/PLO "Chairman of Terror" and mastermind of murder and mayhem. His own blind corruption, self-aggrandizement and symbolism are more important to him than a lasting peace and security for his own people. He has pilfered billions of dollars of "humanitarian aid" money to his own personal pocket and assets, while his people must depend on UNRWA to clothe, feed and shelter them> The PLO's sister terrorist organizations - Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad - recruit terrorists via humanitarian aid organizations.
It isn't called the "Palestinian Authority" (another nice name for the Palestine Liberation Organization) for nothing. It is a morally bankrupt organization that is led by a corrupt dictator, extremist fanatical fundamentalist, and ruthless repressive ruler.
Arafat was offered a second Arab "Palestine", with East Jerusalem as its capital, 100% of Gaza and 97% of Judea and Samaria (wrongly called "West Bank" by most of the world today) in an unprecedented "land for peace" deal.
What did the "Chairman of Terror" do? Arafat turned his back and walked away, and launched his second bloody campaign of hatred, incitement, terrorism and violence, calling it an "intifada" and "jihad" against the Jewish State of Israel.
At long last, the UN is at least getting a dose of some facts and truth. Hopefully, the effects will enable stronger doses of medicine for the morally and politically bankrupt UN organization, which is currently controlled by Arab/Islamist nations and serves as a political propaganda weapon against Israel at every opportunity. One hopes the UN will serve as an international body that truly represents the ideals in its charter, rather than Arab/Islamist special interests.
