David Rubin, founder of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, has received the Yakir Binyamin Prize.

Both an educator and resident of Shiloh, David Rubin contributed greatly to the development of the Binyamin region and was thereby honored by Israel Ganz, the region's Head of Council: "David inherits a huge legacy for the building of the country."

On Sunday, the Binyamin Regional Council and the Adei Ad community inaugurated an outdoor sports court to benefit the local children of the Shiloh bloc communities, donated by the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund.

Born in the U.S., Rubin currently lives in Shiloh with his wife Lisa and six children. He is an educator, a great thinker, and a philanthropist. In 2001, David and his son Ruby, who was then three years old, were injured in a shooting attack on the way back to Shiloh. After two years of operations, post-trauma therapy, and several doctors’ visits that healed both him and his son, David began spreading his heartrending testimony to people worldwide – spreading the truth about what’s really happening in the Land of Israel.

Not long after, David founded the Shiloh Israel Children's Fund, aiming to heal the traumas of children affected by terror using alternative therapies, such as music therapy, sports, art, and more.

As a truth-seeker, David published many books as well as writing articles revealing what’s really going on in Israel and the Middle East. For this, and in light of contributing parks and courts to the children of the Shiloh bloc communities, Rubin received the Yakir Binyamin Prize.

The Binyamin region Head of Council, Israel Ganz, presented a trophy to David and said: "David Rubin is a pioneer and a loyal man to the settlement movement who took a challenging event and turned it into a legacy, contributing greatly to the building of Israel. His tremendous donations through the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund provide relief to many children throughout the region. For this, the residents of Binyamin say a huge thank you to David."

"Today, the children of the Adei Ad community don’t only receive a recreational court – they’re given the relief they deserve. Together with the wonderful leadership in the community, we will continue to promote and develop the area and provide additional infrastructure to the residents," Ganz added.

David Rubin said, “It is my great honor to accept this Yakir Binyamin award. I am grateful for the support of my family, friends, the therapists and teachers who work with us, and, of course, our committed donors around the world. I will continue to work tirelessly on behalf of those who need our help and greatly appreciate the partnership of the Binyamin Regional Council. By working together, we can continue to do great things for the children and families of the biblical heartland and thus influence the course of history."
