Israeli swimmer Mark Malyar on Sunday broke a world record and won a gold medal in the 400-meter freestyle at the Paralympic Games.

This is his second time breaking a world record at the games in Tokyo, after Malyar on Friday broke the world record in the 200m individual medley and won the gold medal for it.

Malyar finished today's competition with a great result of 4: 31.06 minutes, which cut 2.58 seconds from the previous world record that also belongs to him.

This made Mark the first Israeli since 2004 to win two gold medals at the Paralympic Games.
