The IDF has arrested a terrorist who last week hurled a rock at an Israeli car, point-blank, in the Arab village of Al Aroub.
The attack occurred last Wednesday, when the driver and his wife were driving to their Kiryat Arba home. In the Arab village of Al Aroub, near a "pillbox" filled with soldiers, the terrorist came up to the moving vehicle and threw a large stone straight at its windshield.
The rock hit the vehicle, smashing its windshield and sailing past the driver's wife's face, covering her with many pieces of broken glass, some of which injured her. When the rock finally landed, it hit the driver himself.
The driver immediately stopped his vehicle, and the terrorist escaped the scene.
The IDF has arrested the terrorist, who was captured on the vehicle's camera.
Honenu attorney Haim Bleicher, who is representing the driver, praised the arrest and said: "This was a serious rock attack which could have easily ended with serious injury or, G-d forbid, deadly results. I request that the terrorist be tried for nothing less than attempted murder."
