MK Ahmed Tibi (Joint List) on Saturday night refused to provide a definite answer when asked whether his party would back a government led by Yamina chairman Naftali Bennett.

“We need to wait and see. Sometimes you say things and then things change,” Tibi told Channel 12 News in an interview.

Tibi was asked the question following remarks by Joint List chairman Ayman Odeh, who rejected the idea of supporting a government led by Bennett and describing him as the “father of settlements, father of racism.”

“We think the same on Naftali Bennett -- he is pro-annexation -- but we have not discussed it yet within the faction. On Monday there will be an official first faction meeting and we will exchange opinions on the matter,” Tibi said in the interview.

"You remember that in recommending Gantz at the time, the public knew about our decision half an hour before. So when making a certain decision - unanimously or by a majority decision - it is permissible to delay making it public," continued Tibi.
