MK Naftali Bennett (Yamina) on Saturday night praised the normalization of ties between Israel and Bahrain.
"I extend heartfelt congratulations to President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu for expanding the normalization’s and peace agreement to include Bahrain and hope that additional Arab nations will join as well," he said.
"When our Arab neighbors understand that the nation of Israel has returned to our homeland and will never leave, it becomes possible to create regional stability and eventually - true peace."
Defense Minister Benny Gantz (Blue and White) also praised the agreement, saying: "Any effort to advance peace is a blessing."
"I congratulate the Prime Minister and the King of Bahrain for moving toward normalization between Israel and Bahrain and, on behalf of all of Israel’s citizens, thank President Trump and the American government for their exceptional efforts to build a more stable Middle East.
"Normalizing the relations between us and regional partners brings the vision of a Middle East that is safe and secure for all of its residents closer to becoming reality.
"As Defense Minister at this important historic juncture, I will be a committed partner in every process while continuously protecting Israel's vital security interests."
US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman tweeted: "From Israel - Jordan peace agreement to Israel - UAE peace agreement: 26 years. From Israel - UAE peace agreement to Israel - Bahrain peace agreement: 29 days!! Trump diplomacy in action, wasting no time in changing the world for the better!"
