Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) criticized MK Gideon Sa'ar for running against Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in party primaries, claiming he made the run illegitimate.
Netanyahu won the Likud primaries in a landslide victory, receiving 72.5% of the vote while his opponent won just 27.5%.
"Gideon Sa'ar made a mistake when he ran," Katz said. "He thought that the legal system will invalidate Netanyahu. He thought that the Prime Minister will collapse in polls, and he turned a legitimate run into [something] illegitimate."
"When you try to run, you need to show a record, not mudsling or call on people to resign, like they do in Blue and White."
Turning to Blue and White's chairman, MK Benny Gantz, Katz warned that he "is going to lose the elections."
