Activists protesting outside a Shabbatarbut (political and cultural forums that take place on the Sabbath) event in central Israel called MK Ahmad Tibi (Joint Arab List) a "terrorist."

The event, held in Ramat Hasharon, featured Tibi as a speaker.

The activists yelled "Tibi is a terrorist! Tibi praises shahids (martyrs - ed.), Tibi is a murderer!"

Israel Police arrested two of the activists, in order to interrogate them on suspicion of disrupting order

On Twitter, Tibi responded: "I was invited and I came to hear and to be heard. I was beaten by a protester with a stick which looked like a flag, as well as with a sign, and as I exited sand and dirt were thrown at me. Inside the hall there was an intense civilized discussion and I thank all those who came to listen."

He added: "This violence is the direct result of incitement by the guilty on from Balfour street."

In 2017, IsraelI President Reuven Rivlin noted how the Arab MKs routinely fail to condemn terror attacks against Israeli civilians - even when the victims are other Arabs. "Those who do not denounce terror - cooperate with it," he emphasized.

In 2016, Tibi visited Marwan Barghouti, an archterrorist, in prison. Barghouti is serving a life sentence for orchestrating multiple terror attacks against Israels.

In 2015, Tibi called Yisrael Beytenu's chairman, MK Avigdor Liberman, a "Jewish ISIS."

Tibi served as advisor to the late Yasser Arafat, an archterrorist who incited the murders of thousands of innocent Israelis. In 2015, Tibi expressed how much he "missed" Arafat.

In 2014, Tibi denied that members of the Hamas terror organization are terrorists, claiming that the organization is "not a terror organization." Later that same year, he said Jews have no right to pray on the Temple Mount.
