Prime Minister and Defense Minister Binyamin Netanyahu held a security assessment today at the headquarters of the Judea and Samaria Division in Beit El.

Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eizenkot, Commander of Central Command Major General Nadav Padan, Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division Brig. Gen. Eran Niv, and other senior officers participated in the assessment.

Prime Minister Netanyahu received security briefings on ongoing IDF activities in the Judea and Samaria theater to prevent terror and defend communities, and spoke with sector brigade and battlion commanders.

The division commander related to Netanyahu the findings of the investigation into the Givat Asaf attack, saying the soldiers standing at the hitchhiking station did not suspect the vehicle because it had a yellow license plate.

Netanyahu said at the scene of the attack, "At the end of the week there were 100 arrests and yesterday 36. It's only a matter of time before we find this murderer as we found the others. We'll come with him as we did with the others. Palestinian terror won't uproot us from here; this place is the heart of our homeland.

"We'll strengthen settlement further, as we did now, and we'll take all steps against terror including additional steps, and won't tolerate terror from Gaza or Judea and Samaria. We'll hit it with a hard hand," added Netanyahu.

"I'd like to commend the settlers here for showing resilience and strength in the face of this murderous terror, and to praise the commanders and soldiers of the IDF, who guard all the citizens of the country around the clock, all year round."
