The Habima theater has decided to press charges after left-wing slogans were projected onto its walls demeaning Prime Minister Netanyahu.

On Saturday night, a rowdy left-wing rally was held in Tel Aviv calling for Prime Minister Netanyahu to resign over corruption allegations. During the rally, anti-Netanyahu slogans were projected on the side of the storied theater, angering theater management who wished to keep Habima out of political controversies.

On Sunday, Habima CEO Odeliah Freidman wrote a letter to Tel Aviv Police District Commander David Bitan asking him to open an investigation into the incident.

"We ask that the investigation of the complaint be placed at the top of the list of priorities so that such a serious incident will not happen again," wrote Friedman.

Friedman adds that "the national theater distanced itself from any political issue and never would have allowed the screening or placing of such a sign."

Friedman added that Habima had requested numerous times from police to distance the demonstrations from the theater to little effect.
