Amsterdam Flash 90

Amsterdam's "Carmel" restaurant was vandalized for the second time in just over a month by unknown vandals.

Windows of the Jewish-owned restaurant, located in the city's Jewish quarter, were smashed for the second time since December, just after the owner replaced the windows ruined in the first incident.

Last month, a Muslim wrapped in and carrying Palestinian Liberation Organization flags smashed the restaurant's window and kicked down the restaurant’s doors before entering the restaurant and finding it empty.

Both police and passersby watched the destruction, with police taking action only after the man exited the restaurant.

The owners told local media that the restaurant is often the target of such destructive acts, and that they have asked local authorities' permission to place security cameras around the site.
