US President Donald Trump was on his way to a convention in Springfield, Missouri, when a white car appeared in a forest near the road and drove quickly towards him.

The car reached the road exactly as Trump's procession passed. It ran over the street's drain and stopped at the side of the road.

A secret service car left Trump's procession and drove towards the white car, whose driver got out.

Initially, there was concern that the car sped up in an attempt to harm Trump or the presidential procession. However, the true reason for the incident was later discovered to be a brake malfunction.

In January, one of the suggestions on how to remove Trump from the White House was to murder him. Last November, the CEO of a digital company vowed to assassinate him.
