Hamas politburo member Fathi Hammad, who in the past served as the terrorist group's interior minister, reacted angrily on Thursday to the United States' move to add him to its “global terrorist” list.

Speaking to Hamas's Palestine newspaper, Hammad accused the United States of supporting terrorism and dissociating itself from the terrorist label and attaching it to the “victim”.

The American “crimes”, he claimed, include theft of various nations' resources, inequitable policies and support for Israel.

Hammad further argued that the United States' government defines terrorism as the protection of Jerusalem, the demand to implement the “right of return” and the removal of “occupation”. He added that anyone who does not follow the path of the United States is described as a terrorist.

Hammad has in the past vowed to annihilate the “brothers of apes and pigs”, meaning the Jews.

He has also called on Fatah to join Hamas and “wage Jihad” against Israel and has also declared that Israel will be gone in eight years.

In October of last year, soon after the start of a terrorist wave in Israel, Hammad declaredthat Allah had created man “to wage jihad” and declared that “this intifada will never stop”.
