Finance records for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign reveal that it made several payments to a Nevada-based company that specializes in destroying hard drives and documents.
The payments, revealed by Washington Free Beacon on Tuesday, raise suspicions as to what documents Clinton paid to destroy - currently she is the subject of an investigation into her illegal use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State.
It has been found that her emails on the server included those of the highest levels of secrecy, at a level beyond "top secret," and a review is examining if they were classified top-secret when they were sent.
Clinton's campaign payments to American Document Destruction, Inc. were recorded in February and March of this year. The company specializes in destroying hard drives or "anything else that a hard drive can come from."
The first payment from Hillary for America to the company at its Sparks, Nevada location took place on February 3 to the tune of $43, as revealed by Federal Election Commission filings.
Then on February 21 two more payments of $43 and $58 were made, and on March 26 a fourth payment of $43 was made, reaching a total of $187.
Clinton's campaign ignored a request by the Washington Free Beacon to comment on the nature of the documents that it paid to have destroyed by the company.
The news site asked American Document Destruction, Inc. about its rates, and was told by an employee that the amount the Clinton campaign paid would have been enough to destroy 14 hard drives or else shred 37.4 cubic feet of paper.
"Our hard drive destruction procedures take place either at your site or at our secure facility in Sparks, NV," states American Document Destruction, Inc.'s website. “We have a dedicated machine for hard drive destruction."
"Our equipment is powerful. Whether you require ON SITE or OFF SITE service, performed at our Sparks facility, large volumes can be quickly destroyed regardless of staples, clips or fasteners. ...A new service we also offer is computer hard drive destruction, either ON-SITE or OFF-SITE," reads the site.
Previously released emails from Clinton's illegal server have appeared to show she would be hostile to Israel if elected president, and that her plans would involved forcing massive concessions on the Jewish state.
In 2011 she mulled a plan by a senior aide to stir up Palestinian unrest, and last November she said she would impose peace talks on the Jewish state.
