MK Oren Hazan (Likud) attacked fellow parliamentarian Karin Elharar (Yesh Atid) on Twitter early Thursday morning, claiming she had voted twice on the state budget.
In the video posted by Hazan on his Twitter account, Elharar can be seen asking MK Issawi Frej (Meretz), who was sitting beside her, to vote for her by clicking on her screen.
Elharar is disabled and the unusual request was actually the result of weakness in her hands.
Hazan, though, blasted the move. "Yuli, this is the second time I've alerted you to someone voting twice in the current Knesset session! What are going to do?" he tweeted to Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein.
The insensitive tweet caused a major storm in the Knesset plenum, Channel 10 reports.
Voting was temporarily halted and a large number of MKs, including Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu himself, went over to apologize to Elharar.
The incident is particularly ironic given that Hazan's own father, former Likud MK Yehiel Hazan, was convicted of voting twice during the second and third readings of a bill on the emergency economic plan in May 2003.
