Four IDF soldiers were lightly wounded on Tuesday night when the hummer vehicle they were driving in overturned.

The accident occurred during training exercises being held in the Negev desert in southern Israel, near the town of Dimona where Israel's undeclared nuclear reactor is located.

After receiving initial medical treatment by IDF medical teams the four were evacuated by a helicopter to the Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva, the capital of the Negev.

Causes for the accident are still unclear and are under investigation by the IDF.

The incident comes after last month a similar accident occurred during an IDF training drill in the Golan Heights.

In that accident a Merkava Mark 4 tank - Israel's most advanced and one of the most advanced tanks in the world - flipped over as it drove on a steep ridge during a drill for cadets at the officer's school in the Zaura training ground.

Video captured the accident, showing how the tank flipped after the steep ground it was on collapsed.

Fortunately no one was wounded in the incident thanks to the fact that the tank followed procedures in handling a flip. However, the rear part of the turret suffered considerable damage.
