An Arab terrorist was killed while attacking Israeli forces in Jenin located in northern Shomron (Samaria) early Wednesday, medical and security sources said.
A statement from the police said a Border Patrol force was in Jenin to conduct arrests of terror suspects, reports AFP.
"Upon leaving the camp, the force identified a suspect trying to throw an explosive device at them," it said.
One of the border police shot him and wounded him, the statement said, noting the device probably exploded near the suspect.
Arab medical sources said Ezzedine Ghora, 23, was hit by two bullets in his arm and chest, and died before reaching hospital.
The scourge of explosive attacks has included several horrific incidents, including one last December when 11-year-old Ayala Shapira was critically wounded in a firebomb attack against her family's car.
Shapira escaped with her life, after suffering severe burns to 40% of her face and upper body.
