It was a rare political moment, in which an audience embarrasses a speaker by cheering.

US President Barack Obama sent National Security Advidor Susan Rice to the AIPAC conference Monday to explain that the US cannot simply "impose sanctions and walk away" from negotiations with Iran, or bring Iran's uranium enrichment to a halt.

But the audience would have none of it, and it showed Rice as much through deliberate cheering loudly at precisely the “wrong” moments, and remaining relatively quiet at the "right" ones.
