An Arab terrorist on Monday arrived at the Nitzanei Oz crossing on the 1949 Armistice line from Tulkarm in Samaria in an attempted terror attack that was thwarted by security forces.
The terrorist was armed with a knife and tried to stab one of the IDF soldiers who was stationed at the site.
Soldiers at the post from the Kfir Brigade's Netzah Yehuda Battalion, also known as Nahal Hareidi or Hareidi Brigade, neutralized the terrorist.
He was brought in for investigation by security forces.
Overnight IDF forces arrested eight wanted terror suspects in Judea and Samaria.
One was arrested in Shweikeh, located adjacent to Tulkarm where Monday's attacker was heading from. Two others were apprehended at Qarawat Bani Zeid, next to Ramallah in Samaria.
In Al-Bireh to the east of Ramallah a member of the Hamas terrorist organization was arrested, and in Bethlehem in Judea two other suspects were nabbed. In Sair, located near Hevron also in Judea, two others were arrested.
All of the suspects were brought in for questioning by security forces.
