Vice President of the Yesha Council, Yigal Dilmoni, is becoming the latest new candidate to run for a Knesset seat with the Jewish Home party, sources told Arutz Sheva exclusively on Tuesday.

Dilmoni has been active in recent years in public relations and public awareness regarding Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

Associates said that Dilmoni - who has not yet officially announced his candidacy, but will allegedly do so later Tuesday - is widely supported in the Jewish Home faction.

Chairman of the Jewish Home, Economy Minister Naftali Bennett, welcomed the news.

"I congratulate Yigal Dilmoni in joining the Jewish Home and wish him well," Bennett stated. "Yigal is a worthy candidate that served in key positions in many settlements."

"I know him well from our work together on the Yesha Council where he managed the information network, successfully worked to promote settlements in the broad sense and demonstrated impressive performance capabilities," Bennett added. "I wish him well with the rest of his Jewish Home candidacy."

Dilmoni is the second public official to announce a campaign to become a Jewish Home MK. On Saturday night, former IDF Chief Rabbi, Res. Gen. Avihai Ronsky announced that he, too, would run in the Jewish Home primaries.
