MK Menachem Eliezer Moses (United Torah Judaism) on Monday blasted Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman for engaging in petty politics while southern Israel is under attack.
Speaking at the Knesset as he was presenting a motion of non-confidence, Moses compared Netanyahu and Liberman’s behavior to the conduct of kindergarten aged children.
"Instead of working to defeat terrorism and violence throughout the country, the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister are busy quarreling with each other,” he said.
“The Foreign Minister wasn’t satisfied until he convened a press conference to announce he was splitting the Likud Beytenu faction. Like children in a kindergarten,” added Moses, referring to Liberman’s announcement earlier Monday.
"The normal lives of residents of the south have completely paused and what are our leaders doing? Engaging in a war of slander and mutual insults,” he continued. “Small and cheap politics. The Prime Minister makes statements about bringing down Hamas and restoring security, but it’s all talk. Instead of going on vacation, the children in the south went into shelters. Is that the security Netanyahu promised us?”
"A government that cannot guarantee the personal security of its citizens is not trustworthy," concluded Moses.
