A heart-wrenching YouTube video shows Eyal Yifrah, the 19-year-old yeshiva student who was kidnapped along with two other students last Thursday by terrorists, in happier times.
Yifrah can be seen in the video playing the guitar and singing at the April 10 wedding of a cousin of his. The video was posted to YouTube two days after the wedding as a present to them.
In the video, Yifrah sings "Yonati" ("My Dove") in honor of his cousin Meirav and her groom Eyal Ben-Shushan at their wedding in the Agur moshav, located south-west of Beit Shemesh.
In the description of the video, Yifrah wrote "this is a small gift that I dedicated to you, I hope you will be happy...love, Eyal."
The text of the song Yonati, as Yifrah describes in the beginning of the video, is taken from the Song of Songs attributed to King Solomon.
The words are from the Song of Songs (2:14): "O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the covert of the cliff, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely."
Yifrah says in the video that the composition of the music is his own original work, and that he intends the song to be a "thank you" to his cousin Meirav, given that she inspired him to learn to play the guitar after he saw her playing the instrument.
