Major online shopping corporation eBay has been hacked, the company announced Wednesday, and has asked all users to immediately change their passwords.

Or has it? The warning message was deleted a short time later without any explanation from the company, who then stated that there is no evidence of specific information or account information stolen.

EBay stated later Wednesday that a private message will be sent to individual users with details and instructions in the event that their cyber-security is confirmed compromised.

The message was also posted in a press release from online payment service PayPal, a subsidiary of eBay. PayPal users can keep calm, however; its client details are kept on separate servers, according to Channel 10
