An Arab MK told the journal of Hamas, the terror organization ruling Gaza, that he is trying to bring international pressure on Israel to give up state land and build a new Arab city Israel's north.

Arab MK Taleb Abu Arar (United Arab List), a representative of the Islamic Movement in Israel, has called on the High Follow-up Committee of Arab citizens of Israel to declare 2014 as "Land and Housing Year."

Speaking to the Hamas journal Palestine on Friday, Arar noted the announcement of "Land and Housing Year" is meant to embarrass the Israeli government he serves as a member of.

As a result of the international outrage he hopes to spark, the MK hoped Israel would be pressed to build a new Arab city in the Galilee, in addition to new Arab villages, and to further give Arab citizens state land. Further, he expressed hopes that Israel would have to recognize Arab land ownership, particularly of illegal bedouin villages in the south.

America has, at times, led the international condemnation on Israel, for building in the eastern part of its capital Jerusalem, as well as Judea and Samaria.

In late February, Arar disrupted an Interior Committee discussion on Jewish prayer rights at the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism. Arar shouted "Jews have nothing to look for at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It isn't the Temple Mount, it's the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to the Muslims and not the Jews, and it is on occupied land."

Just last week, starting Wednesday, the Hamas-enclave of Gaza showered Israel with nearly 100 rockets.

There is precedent for Arar's discussing strategies against Israel with its sworn enemy.

On Monday, Dubai's deputy police commissioner warned former Arab MK Azmi Bishara to leave the Persian Gulf and go back to Israel, accusing him of an "Israeli plot." Bishara fled Israel in 2007 after having aided terror group Hezbollah aim their rockets on northern Israel in the 2006 Second Lebanon War.
