A new Globes voting poll published Thursday finds that Likud Beytenu would gain 5 seats, jumping up to 36 mandates, if elections were held today. Jewish Home would lose a seat, reaching a total of 11, according to the poll.

The new figures, from a poll conducted jointly with the Rafi Smith Institute, stand in contrast to a poll earlier this week by "Panels Politics" that posited Jewish Home would come out stronger from the recent coalition spat between its chairman Naftali Bennett and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

That earlier poll found Likud Beytenu would drop to 30 while Jewish Home would jump to 17, a reverse of the findings of the newer poll. The reversal perhaps indicates voter uncertainty given the recent politicking between the two parties over the proposal of Jews living under the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Complicating the results are reports that Likud is witnessing some internal "rebellious" dissension against Netanyahu's willingness to compromise. Deputy Transportation Minister Tzipi Hotovely said an overwhelming majority of the Likud "oppose all plans of a loss of Israeli sovereignty, and from there we will start a systematic political organization."

"We'll give the prime minister a clear message that these are things that will not be heard in Likud policy," commented Hotovely over the proposal to have Jews live under the PA.

Some results were the same; Finance Minister Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid party would drop sharply from 19 to 12 seats, Hatnua would likewise drop to 4, and Kadima would fail to enter.

Meanwhile the left-wing Labor was shown in the poll to gain 2 seats, moving up to 17, as opposed to 19 in the previous poll. Far-left Meretz would gain rapidly, going from 6 to 10 seats.

United Torah Judaism would go up 1 mandate to 8, while Shas would stay at 11. The communist Hadash party and Arab parties likewise would stay at their current figures.

As a whole, the coalition would drop from 68 to 63 seats according to the poll.
