The Director of the Israel Electric Company (IEC), Eli Glickman, said Monday morning at a situation assessment that “all of the communities in the state of Israel will be connected to the electrical grid” in the course of the day.
The IEC says that while its teams have been working all night to restore power to affected communities, a number of communities in Samaria and in northern Israel are still without power.
As of Monday morning, about 8,000 homes are still disconnected from electricity – 4,500 of them in Jerusalem and its environs.
At the height of the storm that swept Israel last week, over 100,000 homes in dozens of communities were without power – including large parts of Jerusalem.
